New Multi-Layer Coating Tech Upgrades Curtain Fabric Production
A Chinese home textile manufacturer recently rolled out upgraded eco-friendly curtain coating technology to boost blackout fabric performance and production efficiency.
The new multi-layer water-based coating line replaces traditional PVC coating. It delivers uniform coating thickness, achieving 99.8% light blocking, heat insulation and sound reduction without harsh odors. All materials meet EU REACH and OEKO-TEX eco standards.
The optimized process cuts raw material waste by 18% and lifts daily output by 30%. Coated fabrics stay soft, crack-resistant after repeated washing, ideal for hotels, offices and residential projects.
R&D director stated the upgrade targets global demand for safe, durable drapery. Custom coating formulas for dimout, fire-retardant and UV-block curtains are now available for overseas partners.
